Rob O! Just wanna start by saying your the man and I enjoy reading your workouts and blogs. I use most of them and then I modify some to suit me and what I'm looking for. I'm glad I came across your strongman wod method
I emailed you a while back with concerns on getting stronger and I have to say you were right! I went out in to a nearby field and fond some stones to use for the lifts. I need heavier ones though. I didn't think I would be able to lift a stone, ground to over head, that weighs more than me. Not only that I've also put bigger jumps on my PRs. Now all I need is to get a better bench and dead lift PR.
To finish my testimonial I'd like to say thank you for your brute force type approach to training. It's simple yet affective. It's "Organized Confusion!"

Here is a study from one of the NSCA journals that readers of StrongmanWod may be interested in. It found that heavy circuit training using 6RM loads was as effective as traditional strength programs that include long rest periods between sets in building strength, power, and muscle mass. But it also found that athletes performing heavy circuit training lost more body fat than those following a typical strength training program. The heavy circuit training program is similar to many of the workouts on this website such as the one that this comment is posted on.
